19' Ski Boat with Mechanical Failure

Ski boat with 8 on board towed in by Dart lifeboat

Dart Lifeboat was on a training exercise when tasked by Falmouth Coastguard to assist a 19' Ski boat which had suffered mechanical failure near Froward Point. There were four males, three females and a child onboard. Lifeboat crewman Dean Nettleton was able to board the ski boat and attach a towing line.The boat was towed into Dartmouth Harbour and moored at the visitors raft pontoon. The eight occupants of the boat were safely transferred by the Lifeboat to another pontoon with shore access.
