34 ft yacht breaks mooring lines in storm

The initial report from the Coastguard was that a man in a small dinghy was in difficulty as he tried to secure a 34 foot yacht that had broken its mooring lines to the deep water pontoons. The yacht was in danger of surging forward and hitting the pontoon buoy. The vessel was secured and the lifeboat returned to station.  crew.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
