A life saved in the Dart

Location: Dartmouth Higher Ferry crossing

A gentleman was seen to get in the river on the Dartmouth side, fully clothed, with the intention of swimming to the Noss Marina. The lifeboat crew were alerted and had retrieved him within eight minutes of the pagers sounding. He was brought back to the Higher Ferry slip on the Dartmouth side and taken into the care of the Police. This rescue has been recorded as a life saved.
