Assisted in the recovery of a body from the River Dart

The Falmouth Coastguard reported a sighting of a possible body in the water near the course of the Lower Ferry in Dartmouth Harbour. Both RNLI Dart lifeboats launched and liaised with the Harbourmaster to recover the body. The body was recovered by the crew of the RNLI Dart D class inshore lifeboat with assistance of the crew of the Dart B class lifeboat and taken to Sandquay for handover to the Police.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
