Called to motor vessel with rope round prop

Launch No: 334
Craft: Spirit of the Dart. D-702
Sunday, 13 May 2018
Location: River Dart, off Stoke Gabriel

An 8 metre power boat was reported by the Coastguard to have broken down with five people on board. They were in the vicinity of Stoke Gabriel on the River Dart and to be drifting. They managed to hold on to a mooring buoy until the Dart RNLI D class lifeboat arrived. The engine had stopped due to a rope around the propeller. The power boat was towed back to Darthaven Marina where it was berthed.
