Co-ordinated search for missing Brixham lady

Location: River Dart. Initial search from Lower Ferry to Greenway. Extended coastal search Start Bay.

The Coastguard asked that the Inshore lifeboat join the search for a missing female Brixham resident. The coastal path from Brixham to Dartmouth was searched by the land based mobile Coastguard teams. The RNLI Torbay Inshore lifeboat searched the shoreline from Brixham to Scabbacombe Point and the Dart Inshore lifeboat having searched in the river was tasked to search from Dartmouth North to Scabbacombe. The Police helicopter was also deployed. The lady was located by the Torbay mobile Coastguard team near Scabbacombe Point and escorted to an ambulance.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
