Ferry catches prop on anchor chain.

The ILB was on exercise in Castle Cove when they were tasked by the Coastguard to attend the Dart Pleasure Cruises vessel Warrior whilst on ferry service betwen Dartmouth and Stoke Gabriel with one Ferryman on board. The Warrior had caught her propeller on an anchor chain in Stoke Gabriel creek. The lifeboat crew were able to cut the chain with bolt croppers and then towed the vessel back to her mooring in Dartmouth.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
