Launch to RIB unable to re-start engine

Falmouth Coastguard were contacted by the occupants of a 4.5m RIB drifting in the mouth of the river Dart. There were two adults and two children on board. As the RNLI Dart inshore lifeboat arrived at the scene they had managed to restart their engine and made their own way to safety. Lifeboat crew; Kevin Murphy helmsman. Kevin John and Ty Hall crew (Ty's first "shout") Launch crew: Pete Callis, tractor driver. Simon Amphlett crew.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
