Man adrift near Mew Stone

A small boat with one person on board had broken down by the Mew Stone in the Dart Estuary. The Coastguard helicopter was on exercise in the area and stood by the casualty until the Dart Inshore Lifeboat had attached a tow. The vessel was towed back to its berth on the Kingswear side of the river at Hoodown.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
