Motor boat with engine failure in Start Bay

The Coastguard requested a launch to the 23 ft motor fishing boat, Milly Moo, which had developed engine failure. There were five people on board, three on holiday and two from Brixham. The boat was drifting towards the shore at the Strete Gate end of the Lea. They managed to hold their position by anchoring when 25ft off shore. The boat was towed back to the Dart Haven Marina in Dartmouth.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
