The Coastguard requested a launch to the 23 ft motor fishing boat, Milly Moo, which had developed engine failure. There were five people on board, three on holiday and two from Brixham. The boat was drifting towards the shore at the Strete Gate end of the Lea. They managed to hold their position by anchoring when 25ft off shore. The boat was towed back to the Dart Haven Marina in Dartmouth.
