Several members of the lifeboat crew were signposting a track across Coronation Park for next week's regatta when the pagers sounded, hence the four minute launch time. The Coastguard requested a shoreline search for a missing 12 year old boy, last seen two hours previously climbing the rocks towards Dartmouth at Blackpool Sands. The lifeboat crew started their search at Redlap Cove and had reached Leonards Cove when they were alerted that the Dartmouth mobile Coastguard Search and Rescue team had identified the lad on Blackpool Sands. Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
