Mildly concussed sculler rescued during Head of the River race

The Inshore lifeboat was training on the Dart when they were called to a single sculler with moderate concussion who was taking part in the annual Head of the Dart race. The incident took place at Sandridge Point, opposite Higher Gurrow Point, Galmpton. The casualty was taken to the Higher Ferry slip at Dartmouth and was treated by waiting Paramedics. His boat was retrieved by Kevin Pyne, Race Marshall.
