The coastguard requested an immediate lauch when a woman was reported to be in the water in the vicinity of the Kingswear Lower ferry slip. The lifeboat had just reached the scene as the Brixham fire crew assisted her from the water by the bridge to the ferry pontoon and the lifeboat was stood down. Lifeboat crew.Buster Hart, helmsman. Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
