The SEA Check is an informal meeting between the Sea Safety Officer, John Yunnie or one of the Sea Safety Advisors and the boat owner on board the vessel, hopefully over a cup of tea. There is no pass or fail. It’s an awareness exercise and a friendly discussion. At the end of the check the owner is given a form detailing any recommendations. The information is not passed on to anyone else outside the RNLI.
