Dart lifeboat takes the 10m cabin cruiser under tow

The Coastguard in Falmouth tasked the RNLI Dart Atlantic 75 to aid a small cabin cruiser which had taken a much larger 10m boat in tow after it had suffered engine failure. The lifeboat took over the tow south of the Higher Ferry in Dartmouth Harbour and took the cabin cruiser to the Dart Marina. Once berthed it was discovered by the two mechanics on board that there was water coming in through both stern glands. They were able to carry out a temporary repair and would remain on board over night to monitor the situation.
