Dart RNLI B class responds to motor boat who sent out a Pan Pan

Launch 481 Dart RNLI Atlantic 85 leaving Dartmouth

The crew of a 27ft motor boat put out a Pan Pan call when their engine broke down 2.5miles off Beesands. There was no response and they were able to anchor and all were wearing lifejackets. The Falmouth Coastguard requested the Dart RNLI lifeboat to respond. and when the lifeboat was off Redlap Cove they  were informed that the casualty vessel had been taken in tow. The Coastguard stood the lifeboat down.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
