Father and Son washed off Blackpool Sands beach

Whilst on another shout Dart D-Class lifeboat was tasked to assist in rescuing a father and son who had been washed out to sea off Blackpool Sands. When they arrived, both had been plucked to safety by a paddleboarder and returned to the beach, so the RNLI crew stood down and returned to station.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is open from 26 April 2021 from 11am to 1pm. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and from 11am to 3pm on Wednesdays. It is hoped to extend these times again shortly.
