Launch to 7m fishing boat with gearbox failure

The 7m fishing boat Kopella, with 2 adults on board, broke down with gearbox failure 100 metres North of the Eastern Blackstone in an ebbing tide. The Coastguard requested the Dart inshore lifeboat to launch and the lifeboat towed the vessel back to her mooring on the Kingswear side of the river.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is open from 26 April 2021 from 11am to 1pm. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and from 11am to 3pm on Wednesdays. It is hoped to extend these times again shortly.
