Launch to yacht with loss of engine power

Location: 0.5 mile South of the Mewstone. Start Bay.

The 32 ft. yacht Celine reported loss of engine power 0.5 mile South of the Mewstone. Initially she did not require assistance but due to the swell at the mouth of the river she was unable to enter the harbour safely and requested assistance. Following a "crew assemble" the inshore lifeboat was launched to assist and towed her back to her berth at Noss Marina. Lifeboat crew.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
