Launches
Dart RNLI B-Class lifeboat was launched to the Northern end of Slapton Sands to search and recover a male in his 40's who was believed to be a non swimmer on a board. The wind had taken him out to sea approx. 200m. The lifeboat launched but in the meantime another boat assisted him to safety. The Coastguard search and rescue team was on the beach and assessed him as being fit and well. The lifeboat was stood down by the Falmouth Coastguard when she was off the Slapton memorial and returned to base.
