Medevac of male casualty with ankle injury

Whilst visiting Dartmouth on a 51ft. motor yacht a 31 year old male jumped onto a deep water pontoon in Dartmouth Harbour and injured his ankle. Dart RNLI D class lifeboat attended, as did a patrol boat from the Dartmouth Harbour Authority. The injury was treated with ice and strapping before the casualty was taken by lifeboat to the Double Steps where he was met by the Dartmouth Coastguard team and assisted ashore. A SWAS ambulance attended shortly afterwards and he was transferred to Torbay Hospital for X Ray.
