Motor cruiser drifting onto Mewstone

A 22 ft. motor cruiser with four people on board lost power and was drifting onto the S.E. aspect of the Mewstone in spite of having dropped an anchor. She was taken in tow by the lifeboat and was taken to a trot mooring in Dartmouth. Lifeboat crew. Kevin Murphy, helmsman. Rich Eggleton and Tony Rendle crew. Launch crew. Simon Amphlett, tractor driver. Jim Brent ,Steve Wallis and Bob Thomas crew.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
