Pan Pan calls from small private fishing vessel

Location: 1 mile South of Dart Harbour entrance. Start Bay

The ILB had been tasked to a Mayday at the North end of Slapton Sands (Launch188) There were then several calls from a small 4 metre speedboat with two persons on board that had broken down South of the harbour entrance. The lifeboat crew were asked to assess this situation whilst en-route to the Mayday. The casualty vessel was able to be assisted by Royal Naval units that were on exercise in the area. The ILB was stood down from this incident and continued to the Mayday call. Lifeboat crew. Kevin Murphy, helmsman. Yorkie Lomas and Steve Wallis, crew. Launch crew. Buster Hart, tractor driver. Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is open from 26 April 2021 from 11am to 1pm. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and from 11am to 3pm on Wednesdays. It is hoped to extend these times again shortly.
