Resumed search for missing person

Launch No: 257
Craft: Spirit of the Dart. D-702
Friday, 17 June 2016
Location: The shoreline east of Blackpool Sands. Start Bay

The distraught family of the young lady who was reported missing in the area three days before were putting themselves in danger by continuing the search for her themselves. Her father believed that he could see an object in the sea. The Police asked the inshore lifeboat to attend to carry out her father's wishes and to calm the situation. A further inshore search of the coastline to the east of Blackpool sands was conducted and no one was found.
