Retrieval of abandoned dinghy

Location: Between Warren Point and Coombe Point. Dart Estuary.

Whilst on exercise the inshore lifeboat was tasked by the Coastguard to examine and retrieve an abandoned un-named 13 ft. brig seen between Warren Point and Coombe Point. The oars were still in the rowlocks and there was no sign of an occupant. Nothing was found on a search of the area and the dinghy was returned to the Dartmouth Yacht Club pontoon. Lifeboat crew; Andy Pomeroy Helmsman, Yorkie Lomas & Jamie Mathys crewmen. Shore crew: Jim Brent & Rob Clements.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is open from 26 April 2021 from 11am to 1pm. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and from 11am to 3pm on Wednesdays. It is hoped to extend these times again shortly.
