Sinking boat reported in Sugary Cove

Launch No: 20
Craft: Spirit of the Dart. D-702
Wednesday, 12 November 2008
Location: Sugary Cove, West of the Dart estuary.

A member of the public called the DLA to report a "sinking boat in Sugary cove." The Coastguard requested that the ILB investigate. They found the screen and cream fiberglass fairing of an 8 foot speedboat with four fenders attached, floating in Sugary Cove. They searched the shoreline and there was no trace of the occupant. The ILB towed the wreckage back to the Dart Estuary where a Dart Harbour Authority launch took over the tow.
