Inshore Lifeboat with 26ft yacht under tow.

A single handed sailor was sailing his 26ft yacht from Dartmouth to Teignmouth but his engine failed when he attempted to use it near Berry Head. He returned to Dartmouth but was drifting towards the Mewstone and requested help. The lifeboat was launched and towed him to his mooring at Noss Marina.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
