Launches
Dart B-Class was launched to assist a yacht with 2 persons on board who suddenly lost the use of the propellor just off the beach at Blackpool Sands. By pure chance an off duty member of the lifeboat crew happened to be on a boat in the vacinity and so they took up a tow and headed back towrards Dartmouth. The volunteer crew started an escort in case of any problems but they were then tasked to another incident near Torcross. The assisting vessel towed them all the way back to their mooring at Old Mill Creek with the assistance of the harbour authority who alerted the ferries to allow them a clear passage.
