The RNLI D class lifeboat was tasked to a French yacht, with two on board, which had developed engine failure as it approached the entrance to Dartmouth Harbour. They sailed to the Castle Buoy where they were taken in tow by the lifeboat which was then joined by a Dart Harbour Authority RIB. The yacht was then safely berthed at the Town pontoon.
