Open rowing boat adrift at sea.

Location: Mew Stone. Dart Estuary.

A passing yacht reported that there was an open rowing boat drifting off Scabbacombe Head two and a half miles North East of the Dart Estuary, but they were unable to approach it. The Coastguard requested the Inshore Lifeboat to intercept the drifting boat off the Mew Stone and they were directed to it by the Berry Head Mobile Coastguard team on Froward Point. There was no one on board the boat and no identification markings. The boat was taken to the Fish Quay at Kingswear in Dartmouth Harbour.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
