The Inshore Lifeboat was returning from at exercise at Blackness on the river Dart when they saw two small tenders attempting to assist a 27foot yacht with two people on board, stuck in mud at the mouth of Old Mill Creek. The single finned yacht was already beginning to tilt on the ebbing tide and although the engine was functioning she had no propulsion. The ILB reported to the Coastguard at Brixham and towed the yacht into deeper water and back to her mooring in Warfleet.
