30 ft yacht immobilised off Dartmouth

Location: 1 mile South East of Dartmouth estuary

A 30 ft Moody yacht with two adults on board became immobilised with a sheet wrapped around her prop.and rudder. Another yacht was standing by but was unable to affect a tow. The inshore lifeboat was asked to attend and towed the yacht in testing conditions into harbour to a berth at the Darthaven Marina. Lifeboat crew; Kevin Murphy Helmsman. Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
