Holiday maker collapses at Castle Cove Dartmouth

Location: Castle Cove, River Dart estuary.

A holiday maker collapsed having descended the steps to Castle Cove at the mouth of the Dart. A Paramedic was called and asked the Coastguard to arrange her evacuation using the Dart inshore lifeboat. Having received First Aid on the beach she was taken by stretcher, accompanied by the Paramedic, to an Ambulance waiting at the Higher Ferry slipway on the Kingswear side. Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
