Launch to hire boat stuck on mud at Bow Creek

Dart RNLI inshore lifeboat crew were requested to launch by the Coastguard after reports of a pleasure hire motor boat aground and stuck on the mud at Bow Creek with two adults and four children on board. Dart ILB arrived on scene and established a tow with the stranded vessel. The casualty was pulled clear of the mud by the ILB. The ILB then escorted the hire boat back to Dittisham before returning to station.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
