A man was reported by his son to be adrift in a boat in Waterhead Creek. The Coastguard tasked the Berry Head coastguard team, the Dart RNLI inshore lifeboat and a Paramedic to the scene. The casualty was found aground on the mud in a small cabin cruiser with no engine. The lifeboat pulled the boat free and took the casualty and his boat to the pontoon at the head of the creek where he was examined by the waiting Paramedic. The lifeboat crew were also asked to find and extricate the empty tender belonging to the boat, which they did.
