The RNLI Dart D class lifeboat was tasked by the Coastguard to 3 people on board a 25ft. Sundancer sports boat with engine failure adrift near Scabbacombe head, two and a half miles east of Dartmouth. The boat was taken in tow to Dartmouth Harbour and berthed at the Dartmouth Yacht Club pontoon.

Visitor Centre opening hours

The shop is now open from 11am to 3pm. on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. After closing on Saturday 4 December the VC will be closed until the start of half term week in Feb 2022.
