Two dogs and a sheep fall from cliff.

Launch No: 57
Craft: Gilbert Goble. D-602
Sunday, 7 March 2010
Location: Tinsey Head, near Bee Sands, Start Bay

The ILB was tasked to the incident at Tinsey Head as the Salcome ALB was involved with rescuing a windsurfer in Bantham. Two dogs, a Pointer and a Jack Russel, had chased a sheep and all three had gone over the cliff. On the arrival of the ILB all three were found to be dead. The bodies of the dogs were retrieved and, on the instruction of the Coastguard, the sheep was left. The Tamar ALB from Salcome had finished their task and because of the rough conditions, escorted the ILB back to the Dart estuary.
