The annual RNLI Fete in the Royal Avenue Gardens was held on a sunny but blustery day and raise £1528, £200 more than last year. Our thanks to all who supported the event, the many stall holders, the Tea Hut ladies and the crew who took time off work to erect and dismantle the marquee, move tables and generally talk to the public about their volunteering roles.
Chris Helyer supported the RNLI Fete with his supply of Heavy Reading.
The Flag day was equally successful; £1160 was collected and there are plans to position the collectors even more efficiently next year.
